The World Wide Web

When you boot up your p.c. and log into the web, there is an amazing process involved called html coding. It quite simply, is the language your computer reads so as it knows what it has to do. Until two days ago, i had no knowledge of its abilitys, until i stumbled on a great website called webmonkey. One of the greatest aspects of html is that anyone can give it a go, and virtually design their own website without paying any money to a server. Of course no one will see your site without a server, but to programme a website of your own is extremely fun and rewarding. With just the basics of html you can cut and paste your way into a proffesional looking page, even loading a basic game and a web counter is quite simple to do.
The html coding of every page and every site is availiable for public viewing. If you go to the top of your screen and click "view" and then scroll down to source you will see the html coding for this page {make sure you open another window and load it}. You can do it to every web page and see how the pages are formatted. At webmonkey you can learn how to begin your webpage trial by using their step by step instructions. Once you have established the beginnings of a page you can copy and paste items from other peoples html sources, or google your way through sites which give free html codes. A few items which are easy and work great are a web counter{which you can see at the top right hand side of my blog page} and basic games can be programmed into your sites. Once you have the basic concepts the choices are unlimited.
