They don't make 'em like they used to

It's a common saying, but humans have lost the need to do things magnificinty.....if you look at the last 2000 years most of the awe inspiring monuments are from a distant past.....the colluseum........the mayan temples.....the great wall of china were all built without modern technoligy and yet they surpass alot of our modern constructions........of course we still have our space travel and medicines and communications but our landmarks are quite simply boring....gone is the pride and patience of the great masters.......ancient sculptors and architects spent years forging and dedicating their existince to their wares, some of their work had to be carried out by there succesors for the mere fact so much time was needed to do things right.
The designs of modern architecture has delved into the ridiculous, with not beauty being the forefront but blandness and commoness taking over..........gone are the days when you could look at a design or building and be in awe......like fasion, the world has ventured into a realm of not what is beautiful but what conforms to the current trend.
You only have to look at the new batch of super models and feel a sense of monotony.....they all appear unwell, faces boney and lifeless, gone are the curves and sexiness, in with the waifs and eating disorders..........but thats the trend.
Paintings, sculptures, music has all been perfected by past cultures, we as individuals want to be different and brake new ground, so we have taken what is perfect and complete and changed it, not because it looks good or it sounds good.....but merely so it "appears" we have done something different......
Modern Art gallerys for example contain ridiculous peices of items being passed off as art, not because someone had skill or a keen sense of style, but because those rooms needed to be filled so as the next paying costomer has something to look at. A black canvas with a yellow dot in the centre, thats not art....a canvas with four green circles and a blue triange in the top right hand side is pondered by the art folk for hours, not because it's a master peice but because it has a hook on the back of it attached to a wall. It seems the sillier and blander a peice is the more someone is willing to pay for it. Hopefully this trend does not continue and the real artists, sculptors and the like forge their way back int the mainsteam...........

Nostrodamus {part 1}

Whether you are a believer or a doubter some aspects of his amazing life can not be denied.The first thing to remember is he was a genius.....and a genius understands about life that others don't........for instance.........many people say "If he could tell the future why didn't he just write it down normally,why use such a strange and unreadable method of writing"........that is the true genius of Nostrodamus.......if you read a prophecy about yourself that you would die in a train on the 5th of october, chances are you wouldn't catch the train that day.......and if a king read he would be killed while jousting, chances are he would take up a different hobby.........if Nostrodamus had written it in plane english most of his prophecys would not come true, people would change their futures according to where and when and how misfortune would strike and that would render his prophecys as useless.......if however he wrote it in such a fassion that no one quite understood exactly the meaning of it.....the future could not be rewritten, and in hindsight readers would put two and two together and declare " ah thats what he meant"..........when he wished to Nostrodamus could be quite specific.......and some of his quadrants even contained dates/times and names of people throughout history.........
Nosrtodamus wrote hundreds of quadrants in his life {and a few letters to a king} and most can be tied down to previous occurances.........whether through exact names and numbers or general meanings, alot have already come true.........the real question is which ones are yet to have occured........in a future addition to my nostrodamus profile......you can make your own mind up to what, when and who the "unsolved quadrants" refer to.....and even take a quiz to see if you can decipher previous prophecys.....

Money by Numbers

Gambling is definately a numbers game.....a true gambler doesn't go for the big win but plays the feild, using odds and statistics to his advantage.........but if there is a system of winning why doesn't everybody use it........the reason is luck and inside knowledge make up 50% of your chances......with statistics claiming the other 50%..........so if you can work a system out it doesn't always mean you can win every race............the true essense of sucsess in punting it to win by the day not by each race..........a wise man once said it is better to win a dollar then to lose ten.........of course that is common sense, but the theory works...........
example 1 you place a ten dollar bet on a dog to get a place.....it comes second so you might of just one five dollars.........you have just won 50% more then you started with.....that is a great investment, most stock brokers would cherish a 20% profit in their gamblings {stock market}..........so now would be the time to quit..........but you look at your money and say" I only have fifteen dollars, i need to play again until i have lot's of dollars".............you play again, ten dollars to place and again, you win five dollars.............you have now doubled your money{ a remarkable investment}.........NOW is the time to walk away............."but if i play again i could win heaps more"...........and so on
If you have a good day you might fluke it and win money, on the other days you will surely find some form of bad luck/misjudgment and lose........overal if you look at your total outlay compared to your overal winnings you would be surely disapointed.........again you might be lucky and have a profit , but again you have the chance of being below par.....
Another wise man said "In most peoples style of gambling, for every dollar you win, you lose two".........the number of times i have heard someone win money and then hear them say"this makes up for that hundred dollars i lost the other day" is astonishing.........the trick behind gambling is to know when to pull out and to return a profit EVERYTIME you play.........even if you only win two dollars, it's better then losing one.
Your starting money is the next big clue to successful gambling, if you had a thousand dollars in your pocket you wouldn't go and place a thousand dollar bet, nor would you throw five hundred the way of the TAB, {half your money}......... It would be more likely a fifty dollar bet!
meaning if you had ten dollars to play with the equivelant would be a fifty cent bet......if you played twenty games that session betting on "places" only you, and luck was with you you would make a tidy profit percentage wise.........dollar wise it may be meagre...........but hey you started with ten now you have thirteen.........thats 30% more then you began with.............on the thousand dollar starting point 30% would net you three hundred dollars.........thats nearly half a weeks pay in one sitting.........you will never win fast money in gambling.....you need to weigh up your starting price, spread your bets out during a days racing and combine it with your "knowledge of statistics"
In my short experiance with gambling i realised that there are rules .........The first thing to realise is that favorites are usually favorites for a reason.........alot of the time the favorite will come first second or third, but they will pay very little..........so if you had a system of putting ten dollars to place on all the favorites you would still probally lose{ or win very little if luck is on your side}
example 1 If you read the favorite had won the week before, it my be a sign that the dog was in
peak form..........you would place your bet and somehow the dog runs dead last.........what happened?.........you relied on second hand information...........unless you whatched that dogs previous win you have no idea WHY it had won..........there could of been a coliision at the first bend, or the even money favorite came out slow and found traffic, hampering itself and those in front..........it may of stepped up or down agrade..............it may of won by half a nose and only because it had a clean run from the rails in a one turn track..........a true gambler tapes each and every race and WHATCHES them intently........keeping a record of what he see's...........gambling to win requires serious education..........but if you have first hand knowledge of a dogs form you boost you winning percentage a little towards your favour......{then again the dog may of trounced the compitition in it's previous race but ran in to a spot of bother hence it's last position in the current race}........but luckily your system has you betting no more then ten percent of your dollar value anyway so the loss isn't so bad!!!!!
"Everybody has the worlds best system"
If that was true the world would be rich and the TAB would be going broke, and nine times out of ten the person relaying that information isn't a millionare from gambling.........if you go down and whatch punters at the TAB you would be surprised at all the different ways gamblers gamble......some bet by names of dog, some bet on the statistics provided, some bring their folders piled with newspaper clippings and information........... the only way to win is to remember back to highschool and decide on an algerbraic question, one which combines every single peice of information about each and every dog and staistic you have acsess to........
like a computer program it can be long and monotenous to actualy write the program but once it is done it is there to use at any time.......
"Let the system begin"
months ago i began compiling such a system, but there was a few major points i did not include........one was the use of video playbacks to whatch and take notes on..........another i did not include were the TAB's own statistic.........another was the inclusion of insider knowledge from trainer, owners and people in the greyhound industry and a few other minor details....but for every statistic and tip comes another half a percent to your tally of accuracy.......i will be posting statistics regarding most TAB races in a way which we can all use to make and mould a system of winning..........to begin with statistic i will look at are:
What position did the favorite come and what did it pay for win and place.............. it is going back to the basics of my system but it will gradually include a combined system and results of using the system..........once the system works on paper over a set period of time, the real test will come when real money is put on the table..........

Money Money Money

In the ever changing world there is one thing that stays the same "the pursuit of happiness".........and the main ingrediant for most people is bucket loads of money.......you get up in the morning.........go to work.........come home...........eat...............sleep..............and start again.
Most of us work damn hard for our money, whether it is digging holes or trading shares, work consumes our lives. If you wake up in the morning and declare " I can't wait to get to work today" you are in the minority.....because most people dread the choice they have made for employment..........we live in a society where we have limited time to do the things we would like to do..............eight to ten hours a day are wasted at work..........four or five hours can be used as free time and another eight hours belongs to sleeping.................we yearn for the weekend to come around each week to regain some free time..........and monday arrives too soon........
One of the scariest ideals in life is change............like dogs, humans are creatures of habit........we brush our hair the same way each morning, we go through similar routines having a shower, and the thought of upending our lives to make a change for the "better"is terrifing to most of us...........it takes a brave person to make that discision to change their life and it doesn't always work out for the better..........but what if..............

WELCOME

There are some amazing aspects of outer space..........the most interesting of all is the the things we see in the sky are actually of past circumstances.......most galaxys we can see with telescopes are only reaching our view today, when in fact the light has been travelling to us for years
Example1.........the galaxys we see today are not what they are at present, their light may of taken years to reach us {some far off galaxies take hundreds of years to become visable}.....in a way we are looking back to the past........that same galaxy may of exploded years ago.......but we will only find out once it's light reaches our planet....
Example 2.........it takes 8 minutes for the suns light to reach our planet..........so if the sun exploded we wouldn't know for eight earth minutes
Example 3........Einstein proved that gravity can bend light..........and the longer that light has to travel the further it veers from it's actual location..............meaning that the formation of the stars and other solar sysyems is not actually as we see it......it is a concotion of new and ancient space entitys curving through space and time to finally reach us in 2005.
Next time you look up into the stars, realise that each and everyone of them is usually at least ten times the size of our sun, each one is probally at least 1 million years old and the light you see today probally left that star hundreds of years ago.....realisticly that same star may not exist any more...........it may of blown up with the force of 100 nuclear bombs..........you won't know for another hundred of years.....

IN THE BEGINNING ?

Ever wondered the meaning of life............or where the universe came from and is going..........everyone has there own theories, and every race, religon and creed has their own take on the world around us.........is anyone right.........through the years there has been two sides to the coin..........religon versus science.........these days with the knowledge we posess of the world around us, things like "The big bang theory" have been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt...............where every single peice of space matter {that out telescopes can see} is moving away from a common site.............but was does this mean to the religons of the world...........the concept of creation must be put into question with these findings, and yet christians turn a blind eye to reality............."statistic"- there has been more deaths caused by religious warfare and hatred then any known cause of human demise..........."statistic" the catholic church posseses the largest wealth of any single organisation, and if all assets of the church were sold it could distinguish third world poverty............for such a "loving" and Caring" group they have and will continue to stand on the sideline of humanity and watch it suffer............harsh words but also true words................
In the beginning god created the earth.............mans infactuation with himself has given us the idea that a human being is responsible for our world...........studies have proven that our earth is millions of years old and has been made up of vast varietys of animals before humans roamed the earth........religon suggests that humans appeared out of the blue....................fully grown..........knowing languages.........talking to evil snakes and eating from apple tree's...............the reality of this is so far fetched if you showed it to a visitor from another solar system they would think you are completely crazy.........and they would have every right to think that way................so why is it millions of people believe in creation and god and the bible...........quite simple really..............fear of dying.............it gives human beings solace that there is an afterlife................that when you reach the end of your life there will be a new beginning..........nearly every culture/race and religon beleive in the afterlife.........in ancient times, cultures thousand of miles away from each other,without any direct or indirect commmunication shared extremely similar beliefs..............why is it that the human mind evolved itself into a religious society........wheather it was in ancient egypt or the mountains of the andes.............there has been no known civilised society to evolve with the ideals of death is final.........they all felt there was something else to their lives then what we see on earth...............
