George Bush
For the world's most powerful man, george bush leaves alot to be desired. In a never ending comedy of errors he has again shown that he lacks the " presence" of a true world leader. It is true he is only human, as is every president or prime minister, and to think that he doesn't have candid conversations would be ignorant, but within these candid conversations one would hope you would come away from the insight into his personality with awe and inspiration. You would hope that you would see true leadership qualitys and determination. But alas, poor george, we know him too well, the lastest footage of him chatting to prime minister blair shows a side of him {and possibly a side of world politics} that leaves you uninimpressed with his abilitys.
Don't get me wrong, i did support his views on iraq, something had to be done about saddam, and i beleive the iraquis will be better off with him gone, and afghanistan i felt was the correct thing to do also, the world will be better off in the long run with the demise of the tallaban, so i applaude him for having the courage to go against popular descision and invade both hell holes, but foreign policy needs more then a leader to go in with all guns blazing and shed blood.
As we have seen in both afghanistan and iraq, the removal of terrorists cells takes more then killing a few hundred "outspoken" soldiers and hoping that the borderline terrorists decide to call it a day. The idea that for every terrorist you kill two more are born rings true.
For Example, Habib {name made up . not a real person}, his wife and two young children are gunned down leaving the local market place in bagdad. The evening news reports that all four family members are killed, showing photos of the two young boys and wife sprawled in the car, blood every where and footage of sobbing family members at the scene. Instantely the iraqi community condemn the us army and george bush and vow revenge for the murders.
Never mind the fact habib plotted and partook in many car bombings and murders, never mind the fact he was a known terrorist who supported saddam and his filthy regime, The sad part about a situation like this is that many of the family and collegeus would of known of his involvement in terrorist acts, yet they would cry foul about his death and seek revenge for the murders, as if he was an innocent bystander.
The really sad fact about the middle east is the amount of ignorant, selfish, poor examples of human beings residing there. Here we have not one country but the majority of countrys housing groups of terrorists and murderers. Fighting for nothing but the sensation they have killed their enemy. Let them kill each other, go for it guys, blow up your neighbours, it means theres one less dickhead to breed and continue your sorry legacy. What was once the land of the bible and jesus has turned into the hell hole of the world, They aren't going to listen to George Bush, they arent going to listen to Tony Blair, they aren't going to listen to God, they listen to their own stupidity and hopefully a bomb detonates really close to their ears so they can't listen to anyone. Harsh words but at least i'm not sendind a bomb into someones backyard.
Now where was i, oh yes, George bush.....The biggest problem with the current situation is that many middle easterners dislike him, for whatever reason, so he has no clout in their dilemas, and he can't win this battle through another invasion, so his involvement should be minimal. As with all the battles between lebanon and syria and israel and palestine, they will eventually minimilse in their ferosity and be page 24 news in the not too distant future, Until the next pack of misfits save enough money to buy some new bombs and it will start all over again.
My solution to the problem, and it may sound like a joke but i'm deadly serious, send a maned satelite to look down on the middle east, when a bomb is fired , use heat sensors and video playback to pinpoint where it originateded from, once found, imediately send a medium sized rocket onto the site and blow up anything within 50 metres of it. You would at least kill the person who fired it and also get others so scared to launch a rocket that they would refrain from doing it as much, As metallica said "fight fire with fire"
