Sigmund Freud

From first glance one could determine Sigmund freuds work as self indulging, self analysing crock. But like most theorised work you have to take the good and the bad.
THE BAD
In reading bits and peices of his thoeries , The first problem with his work is the statement that all males have sexual feeling towards their mother from a young age. 100% of sane males don't have feelings for thier mother, Of course there are people out there who fall into the "sicko" catergorie who would have sexual inclinations towards their mother but lifes full of people who have disgusting fetishes about certain things. It doesnt mean the feelings are universal amongst males.Freud admitted through life he was jealous of his father because he was involved with his mother, Unfortuantly he beleived it was shared feeling among all young males, and decided to declare this as a natural, universal feeling.
A lot of his personal feeling transpired in his work. Sigmund frued was a flawed human being, and seemed to know alot about pychological problems because he himself suffered from numerous mental issues. Of course he has the right to analyse and give solutions to the problems, but like many philosiphers , they tend to thoerise on an issue then try and support these thoeries with unprovable ideas.The mere fact that you can't prove some of his thoeries wrong or right gives some of his work merit.
THE GOOD
Although i have read minimal information regarding his work {mostly because i have lost one of the books i borrowed from the library "sorry sutherland library"} There was one aspect that stood out, and it was his theory that the human mind/soul is in a constant battle to deal with physical reality. He believed humans were actually more comfortable in spirit form, being born into the physical world was foreign and alien to the human subconscious.Mental diffilcultys, such as depression and anxiety were classed as the failure of the mind to conform to the hybrid spiritual/physical form. He stated that the human mind yearned for death, which he called the death drive.
As darwin and so many other scientist discovered, all living things have been designed to SURVIVE and maintain thier own species through survival of the fittest adaptations and breeding. Freud's statments don't nesesaryily argue these facts but adds the death drive as a form of survival, to be in peice with the fact that death awaits...
In reading into his thoughts one has to understand freud was and congregated with some troubled souls.He mixed with people with suicidal tenancies { his patients , especially} and researched some awful human suffered mental conditions, so it's only natural for him to think human life was spent in constant struggle to maintain saneness, and when the struggle was lost, depression, anxiety, schitophrenia ect. entailed.
He beleived in every human being there a surpressed subconscious which controlled certain emotions and behaviour. It's like the voice you here in your head when you see someone you don't like, you say to your self
"I'm going to ignore this person and tell them what i think of them" but as they aprroach your physical/interactive side takes over and you say how good it is to see them and how you guys should catch up one time soon. Or when you try to give up ciggerettes.You say to yourself
"I'm not going to have any more smokes and before you know it you've bought another pack and have one hanging from your mouth. There does seem to be a struggle between your inner voice and your physical voice,
The most noted peice of freuds work is the "freudian slip" The situation of blurting out something you mean, then trying to PRETEND it was a mistake or imply you meant it as a joke. In such instances it seems we've let our gaurd down and alloweded the inner voice to have a say in the physical world.
It makes you wonder what human existance would be like without our inner voice, where we acted on inpulse and without control.I believe it's what sets us apart from the animals.

Blogging the hand that feeds me

On a recent visit to my blog i noticed my side bar is no longer a "side"bar, It has now become a "below" bar {If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will find my below bar in full action}. Why it has decided to perch itself at the foot of my blog i have no idea.I definately didn't ask it to move down there, and computers apparently only do what they are told to do. So i pose these questions, is there a blog gremlin out there rearranging peoples templates, is there a glitch in blogs system which can cause unrequired moving of stuff, have i done something to cause this extremely frustrating scenario. Now i know there has been over five hundred viewers to my blog , thats because i sneakily added a counter to the top right hand side of my blog, maybe , just maybe one of these visiters has had the same problem and can give me some advice.
Now my other qualm regarding blog is the lack of comments, out of these five hundred plus views very rarely do i receive a comment, and i have a theory why:; When surfing the blogs via "next blog" i realise the content of all the blogs i read have no significance to me whatso ever. I read the first few lines then........click "next blog" i then read the next blogs first few lines.....click"next blog and so on and so forth.Apparently no one else writes cool stuff like i do, Apparently my blog is the only one worth reading. Sound familiar, i guess we are all like that, other peoples blogs are n't interesting because we didn't write it. {except of course Joe Joes blog cause i get a mention sometimes}
If i was a dog i would of just taken a huge bite of my owners hand as he passed me a huge juicy slice of turkey, because in fact i enjoy blogging, but i had to vent my frustation cause it sucks having a below bar?
